Job Summary
Works cross-functionally with sales, purchasing, warehouse, and order management teams to address the needs of our customers. All consignment activities to include contracts, material replenishment, invoicing, reconciliations, and inventory analysis are the responsibility of the Inventory Control Associate. Additionally, oversight and analysis of all long-term agreements with customers.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Using risk assessment, historical usage as well as customer forecasts to strategically purchase and schedule inbound material to maintain desired inventory turns/safety stock.
- Process replenishments, create invoices, and maintain relationships with consignment customers.
- Assist with reconciliations within predetermined timeframes with customers (may require travel to customer site).
- Regularly analyze inventory levels of each long-term agreement order to ensure material is moving. Redistribute material as needed.
- Approve all sales orders with a ship date further than 1 year from the order placement date.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum high school education or equivalent.
- Multitasking abilities.
- Must be highly organized and able to work accurately and independently.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude towards self and others.
- Able to effectively interact with a variety of personnel at all organizational levels.
- Possesses basic math skills.
- Above average written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent keyboard skills including intermediate level performance in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, DFAR, Acquisition Management helpful.
Physical Requirements
- This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
