Job Summary
The Sales Manager will oversee the sales team. Will assist in developing the annual budget, meeting planned goals, and coordinating with CSO for marketing and lead generation. Will superintend activities and performance of the sales team. Will track sales goals, assist with setting individual sales targets, and facilitate continuing education and training for the sales team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist with developing annual sales budget and business plan including sales revenue projections, expense controls, and key customer saturation.
- Support and lead projects of long-range strategic sales plans.
- Ensure planned sales goals are met.
- Assist with setting individual sales targets.
- Review and approve orders over $50k
- Lead, guide, support and mentor Business Development and Sales team.
- Manage all administrative duties of team including PTO approval, attendance, dress code, etc.
- Track sales goals report results as necessary.
- Facilitate sales and product training.
- Assist with marketing and lead generation.
- Promote the organization, products, and services to customers and suppliers via presentations.
- Manage sales marketing including website, inventory listing sites, and trade shows.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience.
- 5 years of leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to travel overnight 25 - 30%.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Active listening and strong communication skills.
- Customer relationship management skills.
- Strategic planning and analysis skills.
- Proactive lead generation and prospecting skills.
- Ability to develop new sales strategies and implement them.
