Job Summary

Responsible for building, servicing, satisfying and maintaining customer relationships with dormant accounts and new potential customers.  Must establish long-term business relationships with both customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform telemarketing efforts on a daily basis to qualify sales opportunities.  Evaluates sales opportunities; recognize unrequested value added opportunities; provide literature, samples; coordinates opportunity with partners; and determines quote importance.
  • Responds to customer requests and communications regarding product availability.
  • Prepares final quotes for customers.  Solicits partners for information in order to prepare quotes.
  • Enter orders for order entry process.
  • Monitor service level of customer regarding on time shipment, rejections, problem orders, back orders, and resolve incomplete orders.
  • The SEA intermediate salesperson is building a knowledge base to become a Senior Sales person.  This knowledge base will include extensive and highly advanced knowledge of all SEA products, to include an acute expertise in all relevant aerospace, military specification and other related industry specifications and products. The SEA salesperson has the unique responsibility to fully comply with all federal laws and regulations as they relate to the aerospace and military product industry.  The SEA salesperson, as a condition of employment and by virtue of their position, will be required to maintain and otherwise handle trade secret and proprietary information belonging exclusively to SEA Wire and Cable, Inc.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum high school education or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory score on web-based sales aptitude test
  • Recommendation from Industrial Psychologist regarding cultural fit as well as preferred IQ and personality profile scores
  • Experience in sales is preferred.
  • Possesses customer service skills.
  • Able to manage day-to-day activities and exercise independence and adaptability.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to effectively interact with a variety of personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to meet prioritized set objectives and goals.
  • Displays a positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • Possesses basic math skills including using Excel to prepare quotations.
